Goldendoodles were one of the first dogs my then-girlfriend, now my wife, had.

She named her little buddy Aries.

Aries was a gorgeous, charming, intelligent, and energetic Goldendoodle with all of the desirable characteristics of her parent breed.

While she was with us, we learnt new and amazing things about her daily.

She was the perfect dog for us when we were living in an apartment.

When indoors, she was comfortable snuggling and lazing around on the sofas, and when we were ready for a walk out in the evening, she was super energetic.

Her trait was contagious, and she made us love the Goldendoodle breed.

1. Goldendoodles Are a Designer Breed:

Just like every other designer mix is a cross between two pure breeds resulting in a unique hybrid, a Goldendoodle is a cross between a golden retriever and a poodle; hence, they are called a designer breed.

The characteristics of an individual Goldendoodle are a combination of the parent breed.

Their coat types are F1, F1B, and F2.

Their coat length is short, medium, and long and their coat texture is straight, curly, wavy, and tight wavy.

Goldendoodles with more poodle-like coats shed less compared to the ones with more golden retriever-like coats.
